Work Experience

Hi I'm Owen and I have been here at Evoke Technologies for my Year 10 Work Experience.

Throughout the week I have been set some tasks from Ben and Nevenka and we have also been out to do events for Y Focused's Immersive Work Experience with Winifred Holtby Academy. Throughout the week I have had a great time with Ben and Nevenka in the office at Evoke. 

Monday- On Monday Me, Ben and Nevenka went to Princess Quay to do some work with other year 10 students for Y Focused's Immersive Work Experience. On the Monday Me and Ben was using the Redbox VR's with the year 10's from Winifred Holtby Academy. On the VR's we were showing the year 10's the 7 wonders of the world and they had to try guess where and what it was. In the afternoon we went back to the office and did some online work and introduced myself on Evokes socials I also made a start on making brochures for VR's, Immersive floor and Sensory rooms.

Tuesday- On Tuesday Me, Ben and Nevenka went back to Princess Quay to do activities with a Immersive Floor. When we finished at Princess Quay for the day we came back to the office to finish of the brochures I started on on Monday.

Wednesday and Thursday- On these two days we went back to Princess Quay to some more work on the VR's and Immersive Floor. Whilst been at Princess Quay we had a talk with a few people about there careers and how they are doing now. after having the talks and doing work on VR's and Immersive floor on the Wednesday we went back to the office and I started making 3 roller banners for Evoke when they next go to other events like Y Focused's Immersive work experience. On the Thursday after working on the VR's and Immersive Floor we came back to the office and I finished off the 3 Roller banners, Then I started on a 3D model of Evokes office as if I was making it for a sensory room.

Friday- Friday was my last day at Evoke for my Year 10 Work Experience and we stayed at the office for the day and I finished of the 3D model of the office with Ben. After finishing the 3D model I made 3 posters about certain products including SMART, InVentry and Outdoor Places.

Finally I wrote this blog of my week and in want to say a big thanks for Nevenka letting me stay for the week and giving me free food including pizzas on Friday. Also thank you to Ben for helping me out with everything I did and also has helped boost my confidence and work on Canva and the other activities I did.
