Evoke's November 2022 Recap

November Blog

Want to learn about some of the many things the Evoke team got up to during November?

Last month saw Evoke be a Silver Partner to Tech Week Humber as they ran a week long festival of events connecting enterprise and education in all things Tech, with the events aiming to inspire the next generation of Tech talent as well as encourage quality collaborations across the business sector and education institutions.

The first event the Evoke team attended and exhibited was at Tech Week Humber's flagship Tech Expo event, at the MKM Stadium, Hull. A day full of exhibitors showcasing innovation from Yorkshire and Humber, and beyond, with talks and seminars running across the main themes of the week, and countless networking opportunities with the 100s of business that attend.

Whilst exhibiting at the MKM Stadium as a Silver Partner of the event, Evoke were also supported by SMART Technologies, InVentry with their Visitor Management System that was used to sign in the event visitors, and Integrex showcasing various sensory products that the event attendees throughout the day loved getting involved with.

SMART displays leverage your investments in classroom technology and infrastructure, so teachers use them more effectively. Giving teachers one place to connect their content to devices and digital tools means they get more use from the technology they already know and spend less time switching tasks. Screen sharing and lesson delivery to student devices, better touch and linking on Windows, Mac, and Chrome OS, easier management and interaction with connected devices, integration with UVC webcams and conferencing software, and a customisable app experience bring all your classroom technology together so teachers can teach.

The following day after the Tech Expo, Evoke attended the first Tech Week Humber Educators Conference at the DoubleTree Hilton, Hull, again with SMART Technologies and InVentry in support.

The Educators Conference was an event for education industry leaders to attend, to discuss the innovations they are seeking to bring into their own classrooms, take part in forums and experience demonstrations of new technology aimed at supplying the education sector with new ways to teach.

The Tech Week Humber Education Days at Hull College and Wilberforce College was the final events of the week, with the Head of Professional Development for SMART Technologies Mark Hartwright having the opportunity to inspire a large group of children while discussing and demonstrating Tech in education.
