Evoke's May 2022 Recap

Want to learn about some of the many things the Evoke team got up to during May?

May began with the joint celebration of both Evoke's and RedFez's 4th birthdays, where we hosted a party here at Sewell Group Craven Park for people to enjoy the food, live music and the general celebration of the afternoon.

We loved seeing and chatting with everyone there, and we can't wait to see what the next year with Evoke brings!

Did you spot one of our Sensory Vans this month?

One of our award winning Multi-Sensory Vans was again at another school at the beginning of May, demonstrating what our showroom on wheels for sensory and immersive experiences can achieve

Also during May, Evoke welcomed Harry from Holderness Academy School, as he joined the team for a week to complete his Work Experience placement. During Harry's Work Experience week with us, he was given tasks from both the Financial Director Nevenka and Digital Marketing Apprentice Ben covering aspects such as data entering, creating and scheduling social media posts, and looking into email marketing.

All of us at Evoke would like say a huge thank you to Harry for his time with us during his Work Experience placement, and that we thoroughly enjoyed his time here with us!

We are very excited to announce that Evoke have been shortlisted for this year's Hull and East Yorkshire People In Business Awards for the category 'Judges recognition', for being recognised as 'a team who have gone above and beyond to create a positive impact during the Coronavirus Pandemic, for showing exceptional leadership through an unprecedented business environment, and has demonstrated understanding, empathy and strategised effectively to take their business and team through this time, while also seeing opportunities to thrive'.

Our Digital Marketing Apprentice Ben has also been shortlisted for these upcoming awards, for the category of 'Apprentice of the Year', being 'an individual who is currently completing an apprenticeship within the business, and is demonstrating commitment to their personal development, has high ambition for progression and has shown great contribution in a short space of time within the team'.

We would like to congratulate everyone that has been shortlisted, we can't wait for this amazing event and to celebrate with everyone attending!

At the end of May, we hosted a SMART day where the Evoke team was able to receive some SMART training with their interactive displays from Mark Hartwright, a Professional Development Specialist from SMART Technologies, who also was able to provide training to other attendees of the day.
